The person behind the plants
Rooted in purpose,
growing with community
Bondig Botanica is a place where permaculture, medicinal plants, and handcraft come together — built from a deep love of the living world.
Who we are
A botanica born from belonging to the land
Bondig Botanica grew from a simple but powerful belief — that humans are healthiest when they live in close relationship with plants, soil, and seasons.
We are based in Denmark, rooted in the Nordic landscape, and deeply inspired by the global traditions of herbalism, fermentation, and ecological design.
Every workshop, every plant, every jar of kimchi and pot of salve is an act of reconnection — to nature, to community, and to the old knowledge that has always been there, waiting to be remembered.
What guides us
Our roots
Permaculture ethics
Earth care, people care, fair share. These three ethics guide how we design our garden, run our workshops, and build relationships with our community.
Plant wisdom
We believe in the intelligence of plants. Medicinal herbs are not a trend — they are a deep inheritance. We study them with respect, curiosity, and gratitude.
Hands-on learning
Knowledge lives in the hands as much as the mind. We learn by doing — by harvesting, fermenting, mixing, and making. The body remembers what books cannot teach.
Our story
Where Bondig Botanica began
The name Bondig comes from the Danish word for something deeply rooted — grounded, substantial, present. It felt right for a project born from the desire to slow down and pay attention to the living world.
What started as a personal practice — growing medicinal herbs, learning fermentation, studying permaculture — became something to share. Because this knowledge is too good, too nourishing, too necessary to keep to oneself.
Today Bondig Botanica is a gathering place for curious people who want to learn how to work with plants, make things with their hands, and understand the ecological systems that sustain all life.
"The garden is the best teacher I have ever had. It asks for patience, attention, and humility — and gives back abundance."
"Fermentation, soap-making, herbal creams — these are not hobbies. They are acts of sovereignty. Of knowing how to care for yourself and the people you love."
"Permaculture taught me to see patterns. Once you see them, you cannot unsee them — in a garden, in a community, in a life."
